The Faith Formation Team meets once a month. Our mission is to organize activities that encourage congregants of all ages to explore their faith. Examples include seasonal and more general ongoing groups, events, and activities. At our meetings, you might find us planning the following:
- Lenten Groups on themes like “Contemplative Prayer” or “Meeting Mortality: Walking Each Other Home.”
- A Bible Study in which biblical passages are interrogated rather than accepted as literally true, even as we listen for the word of God through them.
- Family gatherings that bring kids and their caregivers together for bible stories, creative activities, and friendship.
- Story Slams on themes like “A Time When I Felt Creative” or “Second Chances.”
- A God and Science Colloquium curated by a professor from U of MN Physics Dept.
- All-ages crafting days—making Advent wreaths, decorating Christmas cookies, or creating Easter eggs made from natural elements.
- Collection and publication of the congregation’s reflections on faith, such as: a Lenten Devotional on how we pray, or Advent reflections on the quote from Julian of Norwich, “All will be well again.”
